VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are essential to our work as a nonprofit organization, and they play an integral role in our success. We are extremely grateful for their efforts! We often have volunteer opportunities not only to plant trees, but also assisting in event preparations, and more. Start working towards your Community Forester Certificate with our next class or apply to join our board of directors at the bottom of the page.

 Community Forester Program
The Community Forester Program is a community volunteer opportunity for Grandville residents who want to help restore, enhance, and conserve our urban forest and create green spaces. GCTP provides free education and training to community volunteers to help them become knowledgeable in tree planting, maintenance, and identification. Certified Community Foresters are constant advocates and leaders for trees in their communities. They help to educate, advocate, and provide support for neighborhood based tree-projects.
Children 12 and up can become a Certified Community Forester if they attend the required classes and workshops with a parent or guardian.
